Pirelli announces the 2018 PIRELLI TIRE CONTINGENCY
for PCA Club Racing Series

Effective immediately the following contingency program will be in effect for the 2018 race season at all PCA Club Race weekends. The contingencies will be paid for the races in events designated as the Championship Points races.

Serviced by Frisby Performance Tire

Racers will be eligible for contingency when they place, as outlined above, while competing on Pirelli tires, fill out a Frisby Performance Tire Contingency Form, and provide proof of purchase from Frisby Performance Tire.  NOTE:  Any Pirelli tires already purchased from JX2 for 2018 will be honored and will count for points and contingencies offered by Frisby and Pirelli.

Pirelli decals must be displayed on the car.  The decals may be obtained when ordering tires from Frisby Performance Tire or from the Frisby truck at select events.  No other tire supplier logos may be displayed on the car.

Once submitted by the racer, Frisby Performance Tire will verify race results with the series after the event.  All contingency claims must be submitted no later than 30 days from the event.  Contingency will be distributed by PCA Club Racing by event within 60 days of claim receipt.

2018 Pirelli Tire Contingency Program
for GTC 3,4,5, 6, and 7

Contingency will be provided by class (GTC3, GTC4, GTC5, GTC6, GTC7) for the races in an event that are designated as the Championship Points races.

When 4 or more cars race in a given class, Pirelli will pay contingency as follows:

  • FIRST PLACE – Two (2) Pirelli Porsche racing slicks
  • SECOND PLACE – One (1) Pirelli Porsche racing slick

When 2 or 3 cars start a race in a given class, Pirelli will pay contingency as follows:

  • FIRST PLACE – One (1) Pirelli Porsche racing slick.

2018 Pirelli Tire Contingency Program
for GTB1, GTB2 and GTB3

Contingency will be provided by class (GTB1, GTB2, GTB3) for the races in an event that are designated as the Championship Points races. 

Where 5 or more cars start a race in a given class, Frisby Performance Tire will provide contingency in the following amounts:

  • 1st Place – $300 Frisby Performance Tire Gift Certificate
  • 2nd Place – $200 Frisby Performance Tire Gift Certificate
  • 3rd Place – $100 Frisby Performance Tire Gift Certificate

Where 3 or 4 cars start a race in a given class, Frisby Performance Tire will provide contingency in the following amounts:

  • 1st Place – $300 Frisby Performance Tire Gift Certificate
  • 2nd Place – $200 Frisby Performance Tire Gift Certificate

Where 1 or 2 cars start a race in a given class, Frisby Performance Tire will not provide contingency.

2018 Hoosier Tire Contingency
for SP997, SP3, SPC, and 911 Cup

Hoosier Racing Tire is a National Contingency Sponsor of the 2018 Porsche Club of America.  This is an optional contingency awards program applicable to all 2018 PCA Club Racing events.

Registration

Competitors must register each year to be eligible for awards and must be registered in the program prior to competing.  No awards will be paid if you do not follow all of the contingency procedures.  Register online here or use the button below.  It is the competitor’s responsibility to register properly and neatly apply decals.  Decals used must be the officially supplied Hoosier Decals.

Requirements

Competitors must race with Hoosier Racing Tires  on all four wheel positions and wear a Hoosier patch on their driving uniform.  A total of four (4) decals must be applied to the vehicle: One (1) 11″ on each Front fender and one (1) 18″ on the front  of the car and another 18″ on the rear of the car. 

Decals and patch will be mailed once registered.  Additional decals are available by contacting Tim Gilvin at tgilvin@hoosiertire.com.

If there are 7 or more cars starting in class:

  • 1st place = 2 free tires
  • 2nd place = 1 free tire
  • 3rd place = 1 free tire

If there are 5 – 6 cars starting in class:

  • 1st place = 2 free tires
  • 2nd place = 1 free tire

If there are 3 – 4 cars starting in class:

  • 1st place = 2 free tires

Redemption Requirements

Contingency forms must be completely filled out and include all supplemental information: a copy of official results, proof of purchase, and photos.  Original proof of purchase must be made available to Hoosier if requested.  Tires must be purchased from an authorized Hoosier Racing Tire distributor or a Track Side Support dealer.

  • Tires will be awarded for a maximum of one official points race per day and a maximum of two official points races per race weekend event.
  • All awards must be claimed within 30 days of each eligible event.

2018 Toyo Tire Contingency Program
for Spec Boxster Class

Toyo is pleased to continue the 2018 Toyo Tire Contingency Program for the PCA Club Racing Spec Boxster Class. The contingencies will be paid for the races in an event that are designated as the Championship Points races.

  • The above rebate awards are redeemable through any official Toyo tires motorsports dealer towards the purchase of new Toyo proxes competition tires.
  • “Toyo Dollars” rebates must be claimed within 30 days from the event date. Rebates must be redeemed at an official Toyo motorsports dealer within 90 days
  • To be eligible, the applicant must have completed on Toyo competition tires and displayed official Toyo decals (minimum of four 2” x 18″ Toyo tires on the front, rear, and both sides of the car).

2018 Michelin Front Runner Championship

Michelin is pleased to announce a new contingency program, with the 2018 Michelin Front Runner Championship.  As a long-standing partner of PCA and PCA Club Racing, Michelin appreciates the focus and zeal of the racers here, as well as the open tire competition offered in PCA Club Racing.  The 2018 Michelin Front Runner Championship offers product contingency for all open-tire GT classes, as well as a grand prize trip to the 2019 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, and year end class awards.

The 2018 Michelin Front Runner Championship kicks off this weekend at Road Atlanta, where Michelin will have trackside support, and engineering support on Friday to assist racers with set up and questions.

Race dates for the Michelin 5-race promotion:

  • VIRginia International Raceway, June 22-24
  • Road America, September 1-3

  • Reward can only be claimed for National Championship Points races
  • Eligibility requires Hawk Performance decals on their cars on either the front fenders (over the wheels) or on the rear quarter (over the wheels); driver’s choice.

    • 7 or more entrants in the eligible class = 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
    • 5 or more entrants in the eligible class = 1st and 2nd
    • 3 or more entrants in the eligible class = 1st only

2018 PennGrade Contingency

PCA Club Racing sponsor, PennGrade Motor Oil, is excited to initiate a 10-race contingency program.  The program began at Road Atlanta and continued again at the California Festival of Speed under a temporary format.  For the remaining eight races the program will operate in the following way.  First, PennGrade will sponsor a certificate good for a free case of oil to be presented at one of the Driver’s Meetings at each of the 10 races.  The next part of the contingency will be open to all racers in the D and E classes and will pay one case of oil to the 1st place finisher in each class (if participating).

To participate in the contingency program, racers must register with PennGrade by contacting Malia McGovern at malia.mcgovern@wearekma.com and provide your name, email, class, and car number.  Once registered, you will be sent official PennGrade decals to be displayed on your car and helmet.  Each winner will then be entered into a drawing for a 2018 year-end prize package from PennGrade Motor Oil.  Details on the prize package contents will be forthcoming.
